After discussion by telephone and E Mail we eventually met at Liverpool Airport on Tuesday morning  2nd May. They came for comprehensive training and confirmation that our sharpening machines really are the best  in the opinion of Frankland Grinding Products.  They set me many “tests” and asked me hundreds of question relating to our clipper Honer and the “life” of our honing plate. We sharpened Clippers for Humans, Dogs,Vets,Horses, Sheep- both combs and cutters+ all types of scissors and knives- double bevelled and serrated. Alphonse is a very serious sharpener and queried and tested all my solutions. I think he wanted the the AF/CAN Honer  after ten mins of demo. He ordered and paid for it almost immediately. His company had already pre paid for his four day training and our Ookami OGS-TAS Scissor Sharpener and convexing clamp. Then I showed Alphonse how to serrate right and left handed scissors- this was his third order. He then bought a second Ookami- which was my own used machine. Then we moved on to knives. Am now waiting for his decision when he knows what the potential for knife sharpening is in Malta. Both Father and son LOVED  England. They stayed in the Swan Hôtel in Whalley , here in Lancashire and said it was “perfect” from every point of view.  My wife and I may visit Alphonse and Dean later this year to offer our advice on the best forms of Marketing. Fantastic, genuinely friendly. good honest people. What a pleasure to have them here for four days.
